A leading artisan winegrower, we are committed to delivering world-class Pinot Noir that captures the essence of Central Otago. Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir is one of the most famous New Zealand Pinot Noirs in the world.
Our namesake, Mount Difficulty, is Bannockburn’s highest peak and the backdrop to our vineyards - some of Bannockburn’s oldest.
Wine
Bannockburn, under the auspices of Mount Difficulty is home to our wines.
Part of our uniqueness stems from our namesake mountain, under which a particular microclimate can be found. This area is at the southern end of the Cromwell Basin, has a narrow range of heat stimulation, large diurnal shifts, and long, cool, dry Autumns. It is because of this our wines show a reflection of place.
Ethical viticulture and minimal intervention produces wines that express our personality and reflect our home.
