Experience Mt Difficulty’s unique hospitality while taking in the spectaclur views of Bannockburn’s dramatic rugged tock and thyme landscape.
We are open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10.30am till 4.30pm for lunch, platters and wine tastings. Our à la carte menu is available until 3.30pm.

Our Restaurant at Mt Difficulty provides a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy beautiful fresh fare while sipping on our iconic Central Otago wines.
On fine days, the outdoor terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy lunch with the sweeping views of the Cromwell Basin. During winter our spectacular view can be enjoyed by the fireplace within the warm ambience of our restaurant.
Our kitchen produces imaginative cuisine showcasing fresh local produce that celebrates the flavours of the region. Our passionate staff can suggest the perfect wine pairing for your meal.
Functions
The Mt Difficulty Restaurant is available for small private functions in the evening, by prior arrangement and during off-peak seasons only. Maximum capacity is 38 people and the venue is licensed until 11.30pm. A venue hire charge applies to all functions. Please enquire for more information.
