Chef de Partie
Mt Difficulty Restaurant, Bannockburn
No evenings |  5 Days

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our established and passionate kitchen team at our home in Bannockburn.

We require someone who can confidently produce delicious à la carte meals with the ability to work across different sections. This role also requires preparation of ingredients, adequate organisation across cooking stations, menu collaboration with the team and following the guidance of the Head Chef.

This is a full-time role in the restaurant kitchen with varying hours including weekend work. Our restaurant is only open during the day, so you will not work in the evenings allowing you to spend time with your friends and family.

You will be a key part of our established team as we embark on an exciting redevelopment of our Cellar Door & Restaurant to allow more room and even more memorable food and wine experiences at our home in Bannockburn.

There is plenty of opportunity to hone your hospitality skills within the broader Foley Wines Group with an additional winery restaurant soon to open in another premium wine growing region, as well as strong relationships with sister company The Nourish Group and the luxury lodge, Wharekauhau Country Estate. We offer a great work environment with a supportive team.

  • Proven experience in a Chef de Partie role
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Great communication skills
  • A great team player with the flexibility to adapt to multiple and changing tasks
  • Good time management and the ability to multitask
  • An appetite to learn and an enthusiasm for wine and food

Restaurant and Cellar Door Assistant Manager
Mt Difficulty Restaurant, Bannockburn, Cromwell
No evenings |  Varying and flexible hours Wednesday to Sunday

About this Role
Be part of an iconic Central Otago wine story. We are looking for an Assistant Manager to provide exceptional and personable service to a wide range of customers and to take on managing the restaurant and cellar door when the manager is absent. You will be involved with food service and general restaurant duties under the guidance of the cellar door and restaurant manager.

This role has varying daytime hours, including weekend work and some administrative duties. You will be working with a passionate and energetic team in one of the most beautiful locations in the country.

About You
To thrive in this role you will need to have hospitality experience, enjoy serving people and have the ability to quickly build rapport with many different types of visitors.

 The successful applicant will need:

  • Excellent customer service skills, high energy, and eye for detail under pressure. 
  • Fluent English
  • Be a great team player with the flexibility to adapt to multiple and changing tasks. 
  • Have an appetite to learn and stay up to date on brands and wines.
  • A duty managers certificate is preferred
  • A comprehensive knowledge of wine is not essential; an enthusiasm for wine and gin and the willingness to learn is.

Restaurant Wait Staff

We are looking for full-time and casual waitstaff to provide exceptional and personable service in our winery Restaurant in Bannockburn, Cromwell. You will be working with a passionate and energetic team in one of the most beautiful locations in the country. The role includes varying daytime hours, including weekend work. 

About You
