Cuisine Magazine has rated it 5 stars and 3rd overall out of 44 NZ Syrah’s. They had this to say about it:  “Central Otago Syrah’s are not a common breed, and wines like this make you wonder why. Lifted florals (violets) and spice scents lead through to an energetic mouthful where the dark fruit is as pure as a tree-ripened plum. Bannockburn New release Pinot Noir Pinot Noir 2016 Venison

Focused on earthy savouriness, our 2016 Pinot Noir has mocha notes, sweet brown spice elements, overlaid with earthy, dark cherry flavours.

Winemaker Matt Dicey describes the wine as displaying 'line length and structural integrity. Savoury dark cherry notes alongside violet florals introduce the wine, this moves into a linear and elegant mid palate, out of which rise fine elegant textural tannins. Cherry notes frame the finish.’
